MAY 18: The Third Annual Pooches on the Parkway, sponsored by RUFF and Blue Springs Park and Recreation, hopes to raise funds to benefit the Blue Springs off-leash dog park. MAY 18: `Vinca's Dog Day In The Park' annual event to benefit the Humane Society of Greater KC. Event starts at 4pm. Boozefish Wine Bar is hosting the event at the off-leash park by Penn Valley. $15/person - there will be treats & snacks for the dogs & humans. Bring your own refreshments to enjoy.

MAY 24 – 26: Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets Open House Memorial Day Weekend, May 24, 25, and 26, 2008. The office will be open from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM all three days, with refreshments being served. You are invited to attend. MAY 25: Blessing of the Animals: Rolling Acres is sponsoring a Blessing of the Animals, performed by Heddie Leger, Animal Chaplain, at their Memorial Day Open House. The first gathering for the Blessing will be at 1:00 p.m., with a second gathering at 2:00 p.m.

MAY 28: T-Bones Baseball Game-Animal Awareness Night. Community America Ball Park , 1800 Village West Parkway , Kansas City , Kansas at 6:00 PM. The night’s events will include a dog parade, pre-game dog adoptions, entertainment by Rockin’ Ray and the Sky Dogs and much more. Fans can receive a buy-one get-one free Fort Hays State Bleacher or berm seat by bringing a picture of themselves with their dog. Tickets to the game against the Gary SouthShore RailCats may be purchased by calling the T-Bones box office at (913) 328-5618.
