JUNE 5: Jazoo. Jazzoo is the Kansas City Zoo’s major annual fund raising event, voted Kansas City’s “Best Charitable Event” for more than three years. This outrageous creative black-tie gala is the first Friday in June in the exotic setting of the Kansas City Zoo. Jazzoo funds provide food and care for more than 900 animals and support Zoo education programs. Jazzoo 2008 was a tremendous success and raised more than $656,000 for the Zoo.
